The Toyota C-HR's Safety Features

While SUVs are prized for their off-road capabilities and their spacious cargo areas, they are sometimes less maneuverable than their more compact alternatives. Toyota's popular subcompact SUV is the C-HR, a highly stylish vehicle that combines sports car-like handling and a comfortable cabin with a range of impressive safety features.

Using onboard cameras and radar technology, the C-HR can scan the road ahead, assisting the driver in a variety of areas. The vehicle utilizes a Lane-Assist function that scans the road ahead, alerting the driver if the car seems to drift out of its lane unexpectedly above certain speeds.

These same cameras also monitor oncoming traffic at night, judging distance and raising or lowering the C-HR's high beams accordingly. The vehicle can also monitor how close other traffic is to it while in cruise control mode, alerting the driver and slowing or speeding up automatically in response to what it senses.
